Julie is a fully qualified and Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a Bachelor of Medical Science, Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics, and a PhD in Biochemistry. She began her dietetic career 22 years ago as a clinical dietitian at Hornsby Hospital, then moved into private practice while completing PhD research into muscle stores and insulin resistance.
Julie’s nutritional knowledge was put to good use when family commitments became the priority. As a mother of three teenagers, Julie has long-term, firsthand experience and understanding of the constant demands of providing family meals that cater to various dietary needs while also being nutritious, affordable, convenient and tasty.Julie returned to private practice six years ago, and provides advice and support to individuals for dietary management of Type 2 diabetes, heart health, coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and other gastrointestinal disorders, non-diet nutrition and eating behaviours.
